I am so excited! I do not really have a NEW computer per se, my oldest recently upgraded from the refurb we got her when she started taking classes at the community college, and I got that laptop! I have it set up up here in my bedroom, where it is usually very quiet. I can't sneak up here very often, but when I lay the baby down at night, I can steal a few moments alone. yay!

Enough money
The Refection for today was about Elijah asking the widow to give him some food..her last meal.
I LOVE the story of the widow and her son. Elijah asks her for her last bit of flour and oil. "Selfish!!" Some would say. But the almost best part, she willingly gives it to him! Not, "But Pastor Elijah, I don't have anything to give! This is the only money (food) I have left!" GOD is faithful. He continues to provide for the woman and her son for many years. She did not balk at God's law to obey the prophet He sends.
I do not know how God did it. I do not know how God continues to do it today! I can tell you though that our family is testament to the fact that He does provide all that we need to support this body and life...He always provides enough for us to return a portion to Him as well.

H1N1
Yes, it has been confirmed by the doctor..we have it, even baby boy.
As far as flus go, I can think of a few we've had that have been much, much worse, but it is just scary to have one when there is a baby in the house.

Little 8 yo girlie got a prescription for Tamiflu to help her get well faster and the Dr gave us extra to give to almost 4 and 6 yo boys so they might not get it. I will call the dr on Monday to get some for 17 yo dear daughter taking chemistry and pre-calculus at the community college. Can't miss a week of that! I wish I'd gotten something for 19 yo dear daughter since it seems to have hit her the hardest symptom-wise, and none of the OTC nose meds are putting a dent in her misery.
The blessing is "all in one week." We've had flus last months. That really stinks!

A Proud Homeschool Moment
So we have company from South Bend the other day that I have never met. My dh and older ones had met the Dad and several of the kids at a Higher Things conference. The family was down in Myrtle Beach vacationing and wanted to spend an afternoon with our whole family, so up they came and it was lovely until.....
I was feeding the baby in the living room when I hear my three year old darling announce to the lunch table, "I can spell! A-S-S! That spells the 'A' word."
oh joy hooray hooray

Firsts and seconds...
Baby boy slept 8 hours in a row again last night!
He woke up hungry at 7:30 this morning and I dragged myself to his crib to retrieve him. Surprise! He'd rolled himself over! One would think that this simple act would be "no biggie" with #10...but I assure you it is very exciting to me, to all of us!
(I will not say which way he rolled because it may implicate me as a bad mommy.)

Yesterday, I gave him his first bowl of rice cereal. So what you say? Well, I usually pretty skip the whole baby food scene and wean to regular food. That has led to long-time nursers. I am determined to be done with that by age one this time. This sweet little honey seems to like eating, as other family members have treated him to all sorts of tasty treats, so I figured he might as well eat real food. He liked it well enough.
There you have it. Exciting times!
