WAKE UP MOMMY!

I was sleeping in my nice warm bed happily.

Someone is scratching on my eyes with his little fingers!
(Six month old people have sharp, sharp fingernails!)
I open my eyes and baby boy is staring at me and then he grinned....he was trying to open my eyes!

Aw. I love my sweet baby boy. Surprisingly, I never had that done to me before.

WHAT?

Six year old dear son-"Mom! Spam is my #1 FAVORITE food.....better than candy."

I tried to be a good mom.

Websites and flier

I set up our churches' websites last week.
Our Redeemer in Wilson and Peace in Goldsboro. It was alot of work, but I like how they turned out. I will continue to tweak them as time goes on. I have a book about html that I bought to read while I was in the hospital after babyboy was born, but I didn't get to it. I don't love the templates, but they will serve our purposes I think.

Dh asked me to make a flier for Our Redeemer this am for a community function he has this evening. Maybe I can attach it or get it on here for you to see. I put it over on Google Documents. Imagine it is on a half sheet of paper. click here. hmm that did not work.
Hey! Dear son #1 showed me how to take a screen shot so I could make it an image file:

So there! cool right?

I find is amusing that when I was 15 I had toyed with the idea of becoming a Graphic Design person. Basically, I love beautiful things and I like to make beautiful documents. Being married to a pastor gives me lots of opportunities to do just that with out the degree. (or the pressure)

So busy

I can't believe how busy we've been.
Sweet baby boy is 5 1/2 months old now and trying to crawl everywhere. Good thing his next up bigger brother is still obsessed with vacuuming.

The baby food thing never took...just like it didn't "take" with the rest of them. We'll try again next month and see how it goes. He did get his first two teeth weeks ago. That is always so much fun for this nursing mommy.

I did finally get two new websites up and running for our churches. I really hope they are useful to someone because I really like doing it. (Not the first day when I was learning the new interface, but now it is good)

I am just remembering that I need to write a Christmas letter! Sigh. Maybe I will just write a blog post complete with pictures and include the info in a card in case anyone feels compelled to read about it. LOL

New computer

I am so excited! I do not really have a NEW computer per se, my oldest recently upgraded from the refurb we got her when she started taking classes at the community college, and I got that laptop! I have it set up up here in my bedroom, where it is usually very quiet. I can't sneak up here very often, but when I lay the baby down at night, I can steal a few moments alone. yay!

Enough money

The Refection for today was about Elijah asking the widow to give him some food..her last meal.

I LOVE the story of the widow and her son. Elijah asks her for her last bit of flour and oil. "Selfish!!" Some would say. But the almost best part, she willingly gives it to him! Not, "But Pastor Elijah, I don't have anything to give! This is the only money (food) I have left!" GOD is faithful. He continues to provide for the woman and her son for many years. She did not balk at God's law to obey the prophet He sends.

I do not know how God did it. I do not know how God continues to do it today! I can tell you though that our family is testament to the fact that He does provide all that we need to support this body and life...He always provides enough for us to return a portion to Him as well.

H1N1

Yes, it has been confirmed by the doctor..we have it, even baby boy.

As far as flus go, I can think of a few we've had that have been much, much worse, but it is just scary to have one when there is a baby in the house.

Little 8 yo girlie got a prescription for Tamiflu to help her get well faster and the Dr gave us extra to give to almost 4 and 6 yo boys so they might not get it. I will call the dr on Monday to get some for 17 yo dear daughter taking chemistry and pre-calculus at the community college. Can't miss a week of that! I wish I'd gotten something for 19 yo dear daughter since it seems to have hit her the hardest symptom-wise, and none of the OTC nose meds are putting a dent in her misery.

The blessing is "all in one week." We've had flus last months. That really stinks!
